Meet Casey, Orton Gillingham Trainer and OG Fellow

My name is Casey Welsh and I am an Accredited Training Fellow with the Orton Gillingham Academy. I have a Masters Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Dyslexia. I have been working with the Orton-GIllingham approach for over 10 years, both in 1-to-1 intervention with students with reading disabilities and later as a trainer. As a Fellow I have trained interventionists in 17 states and 4 countries. I have also trained thousands of general education teachers in how to implement this approach in their classrooms for ALL learners. I have a deep belief in this approach for teaching reading and spelling: I have seen it work for so many. I love my work: reaching students and training teachers so we can reach even more students!
